Ethiopian Airlines Set To Commence Flight To Houston.



Africa's leading airline Ethiopian airline will launch a new route to Houston United States commencing on 15th December, 2019.

The flight route will depart from the airlines hub in Addis Ababa and a stopover in Lome Togo before proceeding to Houston.

Ethiopian Airlines has now opened bookings for 3x weekly flights to Houston as of December 15, 2019, using a Boeing 787-8 aircraft. The flight schedule as stated in the airlines website is summarized below.

ET518 Addis Ababa to Lome departing 9:30PM arriving 12:05AM (+1 day)
ET518 Lome to Houston departing 1:15AM arriving 8:40AM
ET519 Houston to Lome departing 11:00AM arriving 5:00AM (+1 day)
ET519 Lome to Addis Ababa departing 6:00AM arriving 2:30PM

In a statement by the airline marking the launch of the new route, "The U.S. is among our most important markets owing to the presence of a large African community and growing business and tourism ties with Africa.  Our new route structure with additional frequencies to multiple gateways and the opening of new route to Houston are aimed at responding to the market demand and availing best possible connectivity to over 60 African destinations"

  The Argentinian low-cost carrier Flybondi has become the first airline in the world to allow passengers to resell their tickets and, in the process, earn a cut of any profit made by selling the ticket for a higher price than it was originally sold for. Similar to how concert ticket vendors like Ticketmaster have allowed resales for years, Flybondi has introduced a new platform from travel technology startup TravelX to introduce a similar concept for airline tickets.
