NCAA certifies Air Peace fleet airworthy.

Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) have certified Air Peace fleet of aircraft air worthy after the completion of the audit carried out by the Authority. In a statement released, "after completing a thorough technical audit of Air Peace fleet of aircraft following its 'hard landing' on Tuesday, the 23rd of July, 2019 have certified all the operational aircraft on the fleet of the airline airworthy."

The NCAA carried out the technical audit of the airline and its fleet of aircraft with a view to ensuring the airline is in compliance with extant Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig.CARs), and to mitigate the re-occurrence of the incident. This technical audit was not limited to this recent incident. The airline operational, technical and safety performance in the last twelve months were also scrutinized.

The Civil Air Authority also went further to assure the flying public that all the aircraft on the fleet of NCAA authorized Air Certificate (AOC) holders operating in Nigeria are airworthy.

The audit report was conducted shortly after the incident involving Air Peace B737-300 aircraft with Registration Marks 5N- BQO which was reported here.https://aviationroundtable.blogspot.com/2019/07/an-airpeace-flight-from-porthacourt-phc.html?m=1

This assurance will come as a welcome relief to air travellers in the country as there have an increased anxiety and fears about the safety and air worthiness of aircrafts flying in the country partly due to the incidents that occured. Notable among which is the air peace hard landing followed closely by the Medview cabin depressurization incident respectively.
